Steps

1. Send a test alert
Personal settings → Preferences → Send test alert. Arrived? Alerts work — check "What to alert about".

2. iPhone?
Works only when CloseUp is added to the Home Screen and opened from there (iOS 16.4+).

3. Browser blocking?
"Notifications are blocked" = allow them for the site in browser settings.

4. Do Not Disturb?
Check focus / Do Not Disturb, and that the OS allows browser notifications.

5. Logged out?
Logging out turns alerts off on that device. Re-enable after signing in.
